Content needs to be contributed by the units of Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Ltd (AWEIL) in a consistent fashion to maintain uniformity and up-to-date information. In order that all contents posted on the website are authentic, up-to-date, and latest, officers contributing the contents must check them thoroughly for authenticity and accuracy before sending the content to the Web Information Manager.

The general content links of the website are given below. Before sending new/revised contents to the Web Information Manager (WIM) for posting on the website, all should adopt the procedure as indicated in the below points relating to content contribution, moderation, and approval. The content on the portal goes through the entire life cycle process of:

  • Approval
  • Creation
  • Modification
  • Moderation
  • Publishing

Once the content is contributed, it needs to be approved and moderated prior to being published on the Website.

Content Archival Policy (CAP)

The Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) stipulate that expired contents must not be presented or flashed on the website. Therefore, as per the content archival policy adopted by AWEIL, contents will be deleted from the site after its expiry date. Important content will be shifted to the archives page. The content contributors should revalidate the content periodically to ensure that expired content is not present in the website. Wherever contents are not required to be displayed, suitable advice may be sent to the web information manager for their archival. The content components like tenders and recruitment, latest news and documents are regularly reviewed as per the Content Archival Policy.

Content Review Policy (CRP)

AWEIL website is the face of Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Ltd ,a Govt of India Enterprise, Ministry of Defence. This Website is Designed, Developed and Maintained by Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Ltd and Hosted in NIC Cloud . AWEIL is required to keep the content on the Website up-to-date and latest and hence there is a need for the Content Review Policy. All possible efforts need to be taken care on the website to show the newest content. The website content is frequently reviewed by Web Information Manager which are to be uploaded / updated on the AWEIL website.

  • Replying to feedback mails received from visitors either by himself or through someone designated for the purpose.

Security Policy

AWEIL website is hosted at NIC cloud.

  • Website requires security clearance certificate from CERT-IN empaneled auditor along with CIRA clearance before hosting.
  • Website have been audited by CERT-IN empaneled auditor for known application level vulnerabilities before launch and all reported vulnerabilities have been fixed.
  • All the development work with regard to website is done in a separate development environment.
  • The content is approved by Web Information Manager before publishing on AWEIL website.
  • Note: In case, if any changes are done to website, security clearance certificate is required.

Contingency Management Plan

The AWEIL website endeavours to be functional and running at all times to provide information and services to the users.

All possible efforts will be made to minimize the downtime of the website as and when required.

In eventualities like defacement/hacking of the site; data corruption, hardware/software crash and natural disasters, all efforts will be made to restore the site in the shortest possible time.
